Justin Randall Timberlake was born to Lynn Harless and Randy Timberlake on January 31, 1981, in Memphis, Tennessee considered to be the home of the blues. When Justin was 3 years old his parents divorced. He remained friends with his father, but he grew up with his mother and his stepfather, Paul Harless, who Lynne married when Timberlake was five years old.
He is extremely close to his mother. In fact, he has a small tattoo on his back of an angel holding a banner that bears her initials. In addition, Lynne later became her son's manager.
At the age of 11, he appeared on the show "Star Search" in 1983, and even though he didn't win, it didn't dampen his ambitions.
He also appeared on "The All New Mickey Mouse Club" in 1989, where his costars included Britney Spears, Ryan Gosling, Keri Russell, Christina Aguilera and future band-mate J.C. Chasez.
He has become an accomplished artist who is now widely-considered one of pop culture's most influential entertainers. Timberlake came to fame as a member of the pop group, *NSYNC.
In 2002, Timberlake decided to pursue a solo career, debuting with the hit song "Like I Love You." Later that year, he released his first solo album, Justified, which sold over seven million copies worldwide.
Through a successful career, has gone on to win six Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award and dozens of accolades from around the world.
In August 2002, Timberlake performed at the 2002 MTV VMAs where he premiered his first single, “Like I Love You,” a track produced by The Neptunes. The song reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
As a solo artist, Timberlake has often collaborated with the Black Eyed Peas, receiving an Grammy nomination with the band for "Where Is The Love?" He has also worked with Nelly, Snoop Dogg and Nelly Furtado and started his own record company, JayTee Records, in 2005.
In addition to his success in music, Timberlake has also embarked on a successful career in film and television as both an actor and producer.
Since 2002, Justin has made his primary residence in the Hollywood Hills, he purchase the real estate for over $8 million.
